Day01 1100hrs.
Proceed to Malshej Ghat (Alt. 2000') 130kms. from Bombay by
transport. Night hault at Mountain top resort.
Day02 0600hrs. Proceed to village
Khireshwar base village of Harishchandragad fort by transport.
Start climb to the top of the (approx. duration 04hrs.). Spend
whole day on the fort and experience the thrill of sitting on
the edge of semi-circular cliff (Konkan kada). 1700hrs. descend
the fort and reach the base village of the fort by 1900hrs. and
return to Mountain top resort for night hault.
Day03 0700hrs. Proceed to the base
of Shivneri fort the birth place of King Shivaji by transport
(approx. dist. 35kms.) Half an hour climb to reach the top.
Spend 2-3 hrs. watching historical monuments, temples. 1200hrs.
proceed to the base village of Chawand fort by transport. By
1400hrs. reach to the top of the fort. Spend 1-2 hrs. on the
fort and watch seven interconnected water tanks and remnants of
the histroy. 1600hrs. descend Chawand fort and proceed to one of
the ancient pass, Nane Ghat by transport. Night hault at Nane
Ghat and enjoy star gazing from cliff of Nane Ghat.
Day04 Spend
whole day at Nane Ghat. By late afternoon descend Nane Ghat
(2hrs. trek) and reach base village 'Vaishakhare'. Return to
Bombay by transport.
Season - From
Nov to Mid March. Also enjoyable in monsoon (Jun to Sept.)
